The scientist in Dr. David Dosa was skeptical when first told that Oscar, an aloof cat kept by a nursing home, regularly predicted patients' deaths by snuggling alongside them in their final hours.     I was reading the other day that some dogs can smell cancer in their owners – there was an interview with a woman whose dog whined and pawed at her leg repeatedly where there was a mole, which turned out to be cancer. Apparently dogs can also be trained to smell cancer too!
