Two More of ‘The World’ Islands Sold
Dubai based real estate developer has sold two islands in The World project.The islands are part of the 300-island archipelago made to resemble the world's landmasses created off the coast of Dubai by real estate developer Nakheel in a development hailed as one of the trademarks of the real estate boom in Dubai during the last ten years. The sale will be the first bit of good news from the company since struggling in the current economic downturn. The initial land reclamation phase was completed in January 2008, upon which new sales were reported almost every month with celebrities and wealthy businessmen lining up to buy 'their' own country. The average prices of islands on The World range between $15 million and $50 million with the most expensive island priced at more than $200 million....Source
