This isn’t too surprising. A lot of pro western public image type things are being done so why not take off something that might gross fat rich Americans off. I remember reading that the Chinese even went as far as to try to control the weather by shooting clouds before they hit the city with anti aircraft guns to cut them up and make it rain early.
