I guess FedEx isn’t the most reliable carrier out there. After sending 200 lbs of pot to dude and it going to the wrong house (where dude #2 living there turned it in) they checked into it and found 400 lbs more of pot being sent from the same guy. I guess he had a nice little operation going until someone didn’t do their job right.

  1. Whoa, thats a big oops. But i guess a good oops

  2. curious george Says:

Was it good pot at least?

  3. I’d file a lawsuit. That driver’s negligence cost me years of my life.

  4. Stupid FedEx

  5. [...] Offbeat News Blog Archive FedEx Delivers 200 lbs Of Pot To Wrong House Oh what the !@#$! Anyone wanna send me some bud? I could use it. hahaha __________________ [...]

  6. That’s sucks and no that is not a good oops, Joe.

  7. The fact that they didn’t know this was going on makes me much more confident in shipping with FedEx.

  8. What about the guy who turned it in? That to me was the big oops.

  9. Why would he turn it in?!

  10. he shoulda kept it and sold it. Free market capitalism!

  11. I wouldn’t have turned it in.

    200 lbs of free weed?

    Retirement.

  12. Even if they delivered it to the wrong house, guy 2 committed a felony by opening a package not intended for him.
They justified it by it ending up being pot, but what if it was a package full of computer parts delivered to the wrong home?
Does guy 2 regularly open things that don’t belong to him?
This story is full of loopholes.

  13. Damn FEDERALex!

  14. cops suck Says:

wow real heros there! good thing they got the incredibly violent criminal “the pot dealer”! i feel so much safer now!

cuz pot actually hurts someone right? if you think pot is dangerous your wrong. the only way you could be considered correct is in the way it destroys lives with a jail system based on profits!

yaaay lets vote bush for a 3rd time!

  15. I wish I was “Dude #2.” I wouldn’t have turned that !@#$ in, man.

  16. he turned it in! i would have been quite happy with that wrong delivery

  17. Blame Hoffman Says:

Oops, guess it was the house down the street instead…

  18. Yea…if that is weed its really !@#$ty weed. It looks more like oregano. If you’re going to risk getting caught mailing weed at least mail some fing chronic not !@#$ for the top of my pizza.

  19. Who received the package then? And why did he open it? The dirtbag who opened the package is the real scum of society and the real danger to the neighborhood.

The intended recipient did nothing wrong. Illegal maybe, but nothing wrong.

But the resident who received the package from FedEx, and who opened it, should have some severe justice dealt to him for being such a predatory tattletale sheistbag.

  20. riverjilly Says:

omg. The guy couldn’t just say it wasn’t his package? That he wasn’t expecting something? Even–no, especially when he saw what it was he should have ascertained that it wasn’t for him and re-directed it’s route–WITHOUT calling the cops. It’s not like it was a bomb or anything. It was, like, the opposite of a bomb. He got all righteous about it. Sheesh.

  21. I’d really like to get some pot from FedEx.

  22. OMG why can this happen to me, I would tottally OD on Pot( something that is not possible, look it up) I would totally rip that sh@t an smoke for a hole year 24/7

  23. Why did dude #2 open the box?
    Isn’t THAT wrong?

  24. i would have kept it

  25. redeyereigh Says:

why didnt he !@#$in’ keep it and sell it!?

    thats all profit!

  26. i work at fedex Says:

we find pot in fedex packages quite frequently. we pretty much treat every package like shit and they bust open, sometimes weed falls out. last week we found 84 lbs from a box that broke open. its not always like that though. oh, this happened in Connecticut.

  27. Some poor soul has been deprived of thier livliehood.BaD Fed-Ex..BAD FED-EX!!

  28. mexican dude Says:

WHO IN THIS DAMN WORLD TURN THAT AMOUNT OF DOPE IN???

    shoot him

  29. WeedCon- how the hell can you derive the quality of the pot from these pics.

Yea, you get 200 lbs of pot by accident, go ahead and keep it. The dealer(s) will never, ever come looking for it. It’s only a few thousand dollars, meh.

Oh, and what about the volume issue… 200 lbs? I can only speculate the mass/volume ratio of this pot, but even smashed all together, a pound has got to be 6x6x12 inches. so 432 cubic inches. times 200. 86,400 cubic inches. 50 cubic feet? okay, feasible, but i have my doubts

  30. That is a BAD BAD whoops!

  31. That really sucks that they got caught. It is interesting to know you can rely on fedex though. Just don’t be stupid about it. If they had an exact zipcode (5+4 digit) there’s no way they could deliver it to the wrong house. And what weighs 200lbs that you can ship? (that’s rhetorical)

  32. If I lived alone, and got a package, especially if I was expecting one, why would I look at the name?

I always open my mail without looking at the name. Then If I realize it’s not for me, I go “OH SHIT”

  33. If that shit came to my house i deffenitley wouldn’t turn it in. Thats such a dick move.

  34. Wait, they said they found 400 lbs. being shipped out by the same guy, what if “dude #2″ kept 200 lbs. for himself, and turned the other half in.

  35. What a bad turn of events, to be busted over 200 lb of brick-weed. I wonder if it reeked of ammonia, you know, in order to throw off the dogs?

  36. joe snakes Says:

    dude awsome i just smoked

  37. why can’t stuff like that happen to me once in a while….

  38. i would not have turned it in. free pot. hell yeah

  39. How does the box just break open ? If I were mailing THOUSANDS of dollars worth of cannabis I would already have some knowledge in mailing weed, which means I wouldn’t just throw it in a box that could “break open.”

    Then again,

I have seen someone get busted with 50+ lbs in a school parking lot, so intelligence may not always correlate with poundage.

Either the government is creating propaganda, or people are really that stupid…. Choose what to believe.

  40. nice.. and stupid..

  41. A ‘good’ oops?? WTF, thats a bad ooops.

  42. nick camp Says:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! The drug war is a pointless waste of US tax dollars when they should be regulating and actually making a profit instead of the opposite. When you look back in time the most extreme spikes of violent criminal acts increased during (a. the prohibition of alcohol; b. the crackdown on the crack market). So why are we still fighting a pointless drug war? Alteration of the mind is an innate drive present in most animals on Earth, especially in humans. SO WHY ARE WE ARRESTING PEOPLE WE SHOULD BE HELPING?

  43. haha thats a big oops

  44. What kind of asshole calls the cops when he gets that much free dope from FedEx?

  45. Maybe the it wasn’t addressed to a specific person and the guy who opened it didn’t know it wasn’t for him….Duh? And maybe the guy who recieved it has a problem with any type of Drug…and who ever says pot doesn’t hurt – well I have news for you, yes it does if you are addicted to it and you lower your standards just to get more of it….then it does hurt you and everyone around you…

  46. one must assume that unless requested to by the gov’t, fed ex doesn’t check the packages they are shipping. One also would assume that with all the computerized tracking they have it would be next to impossible to send something to the wrong house. I personally believe that marijuana should be legalized and taxed by the gov’t.

  47. I knew a guy who did this for many years, California to an undisclosed state. He was in cahoots with the FedEx driver. The FBI caught on to the dealer, but not the driver. They informed the driver of an upcoming sting operation, and he simply told the dealer not to sign for the package since the FBI had his house surrounded. He didn’t sign, and they couldn’t arrest him. He ended the operation immediately, and never had any repercussions from his years of using FedEx as a transport for the only “drug” that should be legal to all….marijuana.

  48. John SMith Says:

And that guy who opened someone elses mail committed a felony and should be going to jail for just as long as the guy who sent the weed.

    That’s gotta suck!

  49. Melissa is right, weed is addicting, when i quit after two years of smoking (Becuause weed became my first priority, over friends, familly, reality, ect.) i went through withdraw symptoms (sever anxity, insomnia, weightloss, change in mood and behavior, hyperactivity, the list goes on). I don’t give a shit if you say there is a difference between dependence and addiction, because in the long run when you grow up and take responsibility for your life your going to feel like shit. Any drug can be dangerous if you ABUSE it. I do think that it should be legale though, because it is pot, and if not ABUSED, it can be very harmless. Plus if i got 200 pounds of free weed i would probably start smoking again knowing i can support my self for the rest of my life.

  50. Why did the guy open the box(es) if they weren’t addressed to him. Isn’t that against the law or something?

  51. I Laugh At Morons Says:

The number of idiots and stoners replying to this page is mystifying.

    1) Why would you keep the weed when a) The dealers might come looking for it 2) You will have knowingly received a large amount of pot which is highly illegal.

    2) Why would you open someone’s mail? Because if you live alone or you have ordered something online you might expect a delivered box to be for you.

    3) Why smoke pot? Because dealing with real life was a bit too hectic for you. It made you think a little too much, and you got a bit nervous. Now you’re 10 years + in your parent’s basement, your girlfriend is a JPEG, and you cause really bad shows like The Family Guy to stay on the air.

  52. F-U, family guy rules, my girlfriend is a .tiff not a .jpeg, jpeg’s suck, and my mom lives in an apartment, so hah there is no basement

  53. Solecollector Says:

    Lmfao @ all the comments.

  54. id keep it because if you got 200 pounds of weed that can be sold at ten a gram and all you have to do is sign for it, youd be an idiot to pass it up. Free pot to smoke and or sell. Passing that up would be the same as passing up a original picasso painting and putting it in a museum. Finders keepers and losers will learn to use a different carrier service.

  55. Lord of Numa Says:

You are all naive morons… Of course there wasn’t 200lbs of weed in the box. There was 250lbs, and the guy who received it by accident made off with 50lbs of quality green and a hero complex :D

Seriously though, I would have kept it. All of it. My friends and I would just waste away the rest of our lives HIGH AS FUCK!

  56. How the flying f**k does FedEx not pick up on 200 Pounds of weed??!!?!!

  57. Wow, I guess we can always HOPE for this kind of accident to occur!

  58. i hope Fed ex doesn’t send my bong i ordered to the wrong house
